Second pass pages

The day before Thanksgiving, I unexpectedly discovered a package with the second pass pages for Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony: A Friendship that Changed the World tucked between the screen door & front door.  Authors don’t typically get a chance to review second pass pages, a fact that my editor noted in her cover letter. But happily  she did the unusual and I was grateful to scrutinize the manuscript one more time, i.e., make sure all my previous corrections had been properly entered, fact check on more time, etc.  I returned it on Tuesday and finally feel settled after all the years I’ve been working on this book!  Hurrah–a nice way to start the last month of 2010.

Prize it . . . .

Hmmm, somehow I didn't get Aug 27, 1920, published yesterday, so here it is along with the events on today—August 28—104 years ago today....
