No surprise that I commune with historic women that I've come to know over the many years that I've researched, written about, visited landmarks and sites, and exhibitions, and more. Their deeds and words give guidance, strength, and hopefulness, to keep on keeping on. Recently I was reminded of Susan B. Anthony's words inscribed on the back of a memorial dedicated in 2021 in her birthplace Adams, MA.
A tenacious and formidable leader of women's fight for the vote, SBA was arrested, tried, and declared guilty for voting as a women in the presidential election of 1872.
"No matter what is done or not done, how you are criticized or misunderstood, or what efforts are made to block your path, remember the only fear you need have is the fear of not standing by the thing you believe to be right." Susan B. Anthony
Perfect timing, Penny. Been needing a boost.
Thanks,
Janine
