Susan B. Anthony Voted Here

“Susan B. Anthony Voted Here” reads the marker at the 1872 Memorial, a ballot box, located near the site of where Susan B. Anthony and 14 women voted in the presidential election. The banner behind me heralds the opening of the 1872 Cafe where I had lunch–the-best-ever vegetable barley soup & a delicious egg salad sandwich–with Anne Williamson Callanan, Director of Programs and Visitor Services at the nearby National Susan B. Anthony Museum and House. Recently the executive director Deborah Hughes had a conversation with Lauren Feeney from Moyers & Company about a political action group that has appropriated SBA’s name.
