World War II Women

The woman to my left is Susan King, a riveter in WWII, next to her is Betty Prince, a Marine.

What a thrill! The Maryland Women’s Heritage Center put on a marvelous event on Sat. 9/22/12 –“WWII’s Unsung Heroines”–honoring women who worked as riveters, and served in the Marines, WAC, WAVES, Women Airforce Service Pilots, etc. Linda Linzey and Jeanne Cooper were co-chairs of the event.  Jill Moss Greenberg, executive director of MWHC, just emailed me many wonderful photographs.
