Toilets, Bathtubs, Sinks, and Sewers: A History of the Bathroom

On Monday I was a guest on Iowa Public Radio talking about “The History of the Bathroom.” (One of the first book I wrote, “Toilets, Bathtubs, Sinks, and Sewers: A History of the Bathroom,” is now revised and available in all eBook formats.) Oftentimes people who review my list of books, are curious about my many women’s history books, plus the history of bathrooms. Makes sense to me: women & good sanitation are both indispensable to civilization, plus women perform many of the related aspect from toilet training to cleaning.
