Canada releases a new coin and stamp in 2016, celebrating the centennial of women winning the right to vote in provincial elections in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. By 1916, in the hard fought battle for the right to vote in the U.S., women had finally won equal suffrage in 11 states and in the Territory of Alaska.
