We Still Have Work To Do!

Yesterday, June 26th, I went into New York City to the celebration of the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act.  A young woman happily agreed to take my photo with the Gay Liberation Monument in festive garb  see June 25th posting for an unadorned photo).  The images on the poster are of the young and older Edith Windsor, the plaintiff in the case, and her partner of 40 years, & spouse of 2 years, Thea Spyer.

I loved seeing the poster reminding us that the Supreme Court also gutted the historic Voting Rights Act–“We still have work to do!”
